What a puja does
A puja is a structured act of devotion: an invocation, an offering, and a sankalp — a stated intention made on behalf of a named person, with their gotra and birth details, at a chosen moment. Where a remedy is something you carry out daily over weeks, a puja is a single concentrated observance performed at an auspicious time.
Pujas are most often recommended for a specific planetary affliction that a chart has identified, for the removal of a persistent obstacle, or to mark a threshold properly — a new house, a new business, a marriage, a naming. The tradition holds that intention formally stated and witnessed carries differently from intention merely held, which is a large part of why the sankalp sits at the centre of the rite.

Muhurat: why the timing is chosen for you
A puja is scheduled to an auspicious muhurat calculated against your chart and the panchang, not to whichever weekend happens to be free. The date and window are selected first and the arrangements are made around them, which is why bookings need lead time — usually a week or more, and longer for a rite tied to a particular festival or lunar day.
For clients abroad, the muhurat is calculated in the time zone where the puja is physically performed. You do not need to be awake at that hour or present on a call for it to be valid; the sankalp is made in your name and that is what binds it to you.
Having a puja performed on your behalf
Most clients living outside India have the rite performed for them by experienced practitioners at the appropriate temple or venue. You provide your full name, gotra if you know it (and it can be worked around if you do not), your birth details and the names of any family members to be included in the sankalp.
You receive photographs or video from the day, a completion report setting out what was performed and when, and prasad posted to you where sending it is practical. If you would prefer to attend by video call and be present for the sankalp, that can be arranged — say so when booking.

Yes. This is the usual arrangement for clients overseas. The sankalp is made in your name using your birth details, and you receive photographs or video, a completion report and prasad where posting is practical.
